Spring!
March 19th was the first day of spring, I am a few days late with this work, although I had good intentions!
A bird and a bee ushering in spring. However, they are not located in the great outdoors, and something in the image appears to be missing, or is it?
Below is a short (55 seconds) fast-frame clip of painting the poppies and the stems of this image. Less than a minute, but super fun. I hope you enjoy it!
Spring represents new light, life, a new path, and balance. At this time, balance in all things is vital, along with choosing faith over fear, and one moment at a time. The present is certainly a new way of life, and we are all forging a new path each day. My gratitude for all things has magnified. Choosing acts of kindness, goodwill, laughter and love raises the spirit, and strengthens the immune system within the body. May we begin with ourselves, and offer peace, laughter, and comfort freely and abundantly to all.
This painting was a challenge in balance and light. A challenge in depth, texture and colour. A similar experience of myself and life at this time. But with all things….I want to look back and say “….it taught me a great deal, and I had fun.”

I’m in isolation, I’m just waiting for the warfarin nurse to arrive to take my blood. I love solitude 😊
