Doodle to Illustration – New Year Star of Possibilities.

It’s kinda funny, I don’t make New Year’s resolutions, however, with every New Year’s eve…they seem to trickle in, appear from somewhere and line up on their own, like a little list of inspiration in the back of my mind. A part of me was contemplating what I needed I suppose, looking out for my best interests and next steps in 2024.

My list continued to formulate while I was doodling, and soon the doodle became a star, and the star became hope, inspiration, and the opportunity of infinite possibilities looking for a landing space. I wondered about the feeling of “awe” in every firework, and what New Year’s eve is really about – what everyone was celebrating…really. I settled on the essence of the star I was drawing, a belief in hope and in faith. Turning the page. Starting fresh and the inspiration to celebrate all the infinite possibilities in the new year – that must be the common ground of what we are all sharing. The star became an illustration.

The wonder and awe of the returning light. Greeting the infinite possibilities in each day, and filling them with blessings for our planet, for every person, all of life, and for what is good and true.
